The Museum Of London – At Home With The Queen

January 3, 2012

Arts and Culture

As part of this year’s celebrations to mark the Queen’s 60th year on the throne, the Museum of London is staging an exhibition called “At Home With The Queen”.

They are asking Londoners to take a picture of themselves alongside a piece of memorabilia, the only stipulation being that it must have an image of the Queen on it (I am resisting the urge to photograph myself surrounded by the contents of my jar of 2p pieces…). Ten submissions will be selected for the competition and participants will be invited along to a photoshoot held by a professional photographer to capture their image for display. These ten photographs will be put on show alongside part of the Museum’s collection of commemorative souvenirs dating back to the reign of Queen Victoria.

All you have to do to enter is snap a photograph of yourself with your treasured cup, plate or even a tea towel (!) and email [email protected] or send you entry by post to:

Submissions will be accepted until midnight on Tuesday 31 January 2012. Best of luck!
