Courvoisier’s Punch Parlour & New Orleans Speakeasy Comes to the Future Gallery

One for the cocktail fans, you’ll remember that I mentioned the Courvoisier Summer of Punch previously on the blog, and now they have announced events that they will be hosting as part of London Cocktail Week over the new few days.

Oxford cocktail bar, Raoul’s will be coming down to London for one week only during which time they will be hosting a Punch Parlour and New Orleans Speakeasy. As part of the events’ drinks historian Gary Regan (author of The Joy of Mixology and The Bartenders Bible) will be taking guests on a historical journey of brandy in The Punch Seminar and is also hosting the UK’s first ever 2010 Punch Master Competition.

On Monday 11 October the Punch Parlour comes to the Future Gallery on Great Newport St, where visitors can try a whole range of drinks from classic punch recipes to contemporary interpretations mixed by Raoul’s, served up in a Victorian-style boudoir from tea cups. Taking place in the same space on Tuesday 12 October, the Courvoisier Speakeasy will be taking place, where guests will enjoy authentic southern cocktails such as Sazeracs and Juleps while listening to jazz from the Sunshine Kings New Orleans Jazz group. You can get up-to-date details of all of the events at the Courvoisier Facebook page.
