I've just applied for a place on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square which, starting today, will be occupied for an hour at a time, twenty four hours a day for a hundred days by members of the general public as part of the One & Other project, devised by the sculptor Anthony Gormley (creator of the Angel of the North amongst other pieces)At this time it looks like I have about a one-in-six chance of being selected, and I'm posting because I'd like to be useful while I'm up there. So, if there are charitable causes that you feel particularly passionate about, I'd be really interested to talk to you about what I could do in that hour to help promote them, if I am successful.
