Westfield Stratford City Celebrates It’s First Birthday In Style

How quickly does a year go by? This weekend it’s Westfield Stratford City first birthday!

The 1.9 million square feet retail centre is celebrating the occasion with a circus-themed party. This will include give-aways such as balloons, candy floss and popcorn and the centre will be giving away 500 cupcakes on both Saturday and Sunday, first come first served. There will be  entertainment in the form of jugglers, mimes and magicians and local London station Kiss FM will be entertaining shoppers on Saturday afternoon. There will also be promotions available at several stores – an “Offers Booklet” will be given to you when you arrive, which is full of fantastic offers and discounts valid throughout the weekend including:

  • A free tote bag from Lola&Grace
  • £20 off select frames from Vision Express
  • 2 for £12 lunch (pasta, salad and drink) for 2 at Pasta Remoli

Westfield Stratford City will have special treats in store for kids throughout the weekend – the Great Eastern Market will be offering a party bag and special hat decorating classes for children, and the Disney Store will be hosting a celebration where your child can become an honorary Prince or Princess for the day. GapKids are also having a creative workshop in store on Saturday from 1pm until 7pm.

You’ll also be pleased to note that Westfield Stratford City’s first birthday is also going to be marked by the reopening of the car parks (which, as you might be aware, were occupied by the fleet of London 2012 BMWs throughout the Games). Parking is free for up to two hours with the price for four hours plus capped at £5.
