Coming to the Camden People’s Theatre in August is Square Peg’s production of ‘Forwards and Backwards‘.
Written and devised by Michael White and Katie Robinson, and inspired by listening in on other passengers’ conversations on their travel across the country, the play takes the audience on a journey from Manchester to London by train. Using flashbacks and flashforwards through time it examines the entire relationship of two of the passengers, from its beginning to its end. Using mime, physical theatre and storytelling, this unique rail journey builds to an emotional and tragic climax.
‘Forwards and Backwards’ certainly sounds like an interesting concept – I’ll be reviewing it on the blog later. The show runs at the Camden People’s Theatre on Hampstead Road from 13 to 18 August and tickets only cost £8. You can book tickets online or by telephone on 08444 77 1000.
